The 5th annual upcoming Midwest Green Transportation forum offers great opportunities for fleets, commuters, and others.
Now five years running, the Midwest Green Transportation Forum and Expo has built a strong reputation driven by a powerful lineup of national and Midwestern experts and leaders. Attendees heard from a variety of speakers last year; from Michael Stevens, Chief Innovation Officer for the City of Columbus, to Page Thorson, CEO of Benchmark Biodiesel, speakers engaged with audience members to discuss industry pressures, developments, and implementation strategies. Attendees this year can expect to hear from over 40 speakers from various trades at the breakout sessions and will have the chance to connect with industry leaders and top decision-makers during the networking breaks and receptions. The conference will take place on September 18-20 at the Marriott in downtown Columbus.
The 2018 conference offered breakout sessions discussing sustainability approaches and blueprints for a variety of different businesses. One conference attendee said, “The diversity of strategies was very interesting and valuable.” Another attendee said the breakout sessions were, “eye-opening about what the future holds.” Clean Fuels Ohio is excited to continue to be a driving force forward in transportation technology in 2019.
The conference is broken down into several session tracks to allow guests from various markets throughout the sustainable transportation industry to maximize the efficiency of their time at the conference and gain the knowledge and perspective they need to see success moving forward. The tracks are as follows: electric, advanced fuels, smart mobility, fleets, policy, and planning. Attendees can refer here for the session breakdown and to plan their time accordingly.
“Our attendees can not only hear and learn from our speakers, but the more-intimate scale also means they can more easily connect and network with them, our industry exhibitors and each other,” said Sam Spofforth, Executive Director of Clean Fuels Ohio. “It’s comparable in quality to a big national event, but Midwest-oriented and affordable in terms of cost and time. People will walk away with the information and connections needed to act when they are ready.”
Fleets of all types – logistics/over-the-road, vocational, government and others – are still a key target audience. But interest and audiences have expanded and the agenda, speakers and exhibitors in 2019 will reflect this trend. Additional audiences include employers, commercial and residential developers, local and state governments, transportation planners, sustainability professionals and advocates, utilities of all types, auto and truck dealers, and others.
The conference Landing Page is a good place to start but the conference website contains detailed information about Breakout Sessions and Speakers. Registration is straight-forward and the early-bird discount is good through the end of August.
