The Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas dives into renewable natural gas (aka biomethane, RNG) & the RNG industry in North America, including the economic, environmental, and energy security benefits that are leading cities, companies, and fleets to increasingly transition to using renewable natural gas. Naturally decaying organic matter emits methane. Producers of renewable natural gas use well established technologies to utilize the breakdown of organic wastes from wastewater, dairies and farms, and even landfills to produce ultra-low carbon transportation fuel and renewable electricity. Renewable natural gas displaces fossil-sourced natural gas by being blended into our pipeline infrastructure, resulting in proven environmental and economic benefits.
