LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN –Slipstream, Wisconsin Clean Cities and Xcel Energy collaborated for an electric vehicle education session followed by an electric vehicle ride and drive on September 11 in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
The electric vehicle education event was scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 11 at the Radisson Hotel La Crosse, 200 Harborview Plaza in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
The day began with a workshop where corporate sustainability managers, business owners and fleet managers will receive the latest information on trends in electric vehicles and their charging infrastructure as well as best practices for workplace, residential and public charging. Utility requirements for charging stations, resources for making purchasing decisions and regulatory and legislative policy updates for the state of Wisconsin was covered.
Scheduled speakers included Theodore Bohn of Argonne National Laboratory’s Center for Transportation Research, Lorrie Lisek of Wisconsin Clean Cities and Jane McCurry of RENEW Wisconsin.
The $39 registration fee for the educational session includes continental breakfast, program and lunch.
The ride and drive portion of the event ran from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and was free and open to the public. A variety of vehicles were on site along with information on financial incentives including home and workplace charging, group buy discounts and tax credits as well as electric vehicle purchasing options in the La Crosse area.
