On April 12, 2000, a group of dedicated individuals from diverse backgrounds formed the Greater Baton Rouge Clean Cities coalition and received designation as a U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities coalition. Starting small and serving the original five-parish non-attainment zone, we have since expanded to cover 57 parishes, changed our name to Louisiana Clean Fuels and grew our petroleum offsets from mere thousands to nearly 9 million gallons.
For the last 20 years, we have successfully served our stakeholders by working to advance the nation’s environmental, economic, and energy security by supporting local actions to diversify transportation fuel options.
