Drive Electric Colorado is the newest initiative aimed at educating individual consumers about electric vehicles, presenting information about charging and providing details about electric vehicle incentives and deals.

Spearheaded by Denver Metro Clean Cities Coalition in collaboration with the Colorado Energy Office and the ReCharge Colorado coaches from organizations statewide including CLEER, 4CORE and Northern Colorado Clean Cities, Drive Electric Colorado (DEC) acts as a one-stop-shop for anything and everything electric vehicle-related.

DEC exists to provide individual consumers with information and facts about electric vehicles through webinars, events, and with the help of a team of expert coaches across the State. From tips for new EV owners to the differences between Level 1, 2, and 3 chargers to EV deals from local dealerships, the DEC website is a comprehensive tool and initiative geared toward the EV-curious consumer. DEC also posts EV-related stories to their blog.

Recently, DEC took part in National Drive Electric Week by hosting an EV 101 workshop and a Virtual Ride and Drive, events that informed and connected consumers with local Colorado EV drivers and ReCharge coaches.

Currently, DEC is hosting the EV Experience Scavenger Hunt, a fun and exciting way to immerse yourself in Colorado’s EV-friendly landscape by completing missions such as test driving an electric vehicle at a local dealership or locating a charging station close to home. Through Dec. 8, participants can play to win cash prizes by downloading the GooseChase app and entering the game code “4XWJGB” to begin the hunt.

Drive Electric Colorado hopes that this new initiative will encourage and support consumers in switching to or adopting an electric vehicle. Will you take the pledge to drive electric, Colorado?
